Who We Are:

Access Communications is a full-service public relations agency that transforms ideas into actions. A start-up itself in 1991, Access Communications has grown into the nation's 15th largest public relations firm specializing in technology. In October 2008, we were acquired by Ketchum, Inc. and operate as a separate brand. The relationship with Ketchum enables us to provide ";on demand"; access to a global network and additional practice area expertise. Today we employ 75 full-time professionals at offices in San Francisco and New York. Twice since 2004, the San Francisco Business Times and the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal named Access "The Best Place to Work in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area." In 2006, The Holmes Report placed Access on its nationwide list of the "Best Midsize Agencies to Work For."

Over the last sixteen years we’ve established a breadth and depth of media relationships essential to successfully generate and revive awareness for new and established brands from Apple to Siebel Systems and Google to Disney. We’ve launched and created ongoing momentum for numerous consumer products, retailers, e-tailers and consumer online trading sites, attracting media coverage ranging from women’s books, general interest, tweens and teens and men’s lifestyle to national business dailies and weeklies.

We are proud to be referred to as a "power boutique" an agency large and knowledgeable enough to serve Fortune 500 clients, manage international accounts and offer research and design capabilities, but small and nimble enough to provide hands-on service to companies regardless of their size. Most importantly, we are a media shop.
