      Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry Senior Accountant Job Description:Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a highly motivated, organized and detail oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting and Finance team in our Corporate Office in Cary, NC. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will play an important role in the Financial Statement close process. The Senior Accountant will assist the Accounting Manager with daily accounting functions, including preparing general ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of the GL, assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and other related duties. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in working directly with the operations of the company as it relates to the day-to-day financials and operational accounting.We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills, has a track record of proven initiative, and enjoys working in a challenging and fast paced environment to support the company's continued growth and success. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strict attention to detail.Responsibilities:- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and assist with the Financial Statement Close process
      - Post monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals and other adjusting entries, as necessary
      - Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations and schedules
      - Maintain deferred revenue schedules
      - Provide audit support, as necessary
      - Mentor junior staff members
      The successful candidate for this role will possess the following skills/characteristics:- Highly motivated with strong accounting and analytical skills and attention to detail
      - Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting (Audit experience is a )
      - Must understand the importance of accounting controls
      - Interest in understanding the mechanics of Operations functions in the Dental Industry to better understand the company’s accounting and financial statements (Experience working in the Dental Industry is a , but not required)
      - Minimum of Intermediate Level Excel Skills and ability to apply these skills appropriately in their work (solid practical experience with Vlookups and Pivot Tables is required)
      - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      - The ability to build relationships with accounting team members and staff members in other departments throughout the organization to get required reports and other information as necessary
      - Bachelors Degree in Accounting
      - 4 years of GL Accounting experience, with strong understanding of the close process
      - Knowledge of Sage Intacct is a
      - Demonstrates a sense of urgency and attention to due dates and diligence to achieve them, particularly at month end
      - Problem solving abilities and willingness to investigate issues to the point of completion
      - Team player and individual contributor
      - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
      - Has previously demonstrated the ability to mentor staff and take the lead on projects
      RequirementsRequired Education/Experience:- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
